I’ve always had a passion for cooking — and eating — ever since grade school, when I first learned how to grow vegetables and cook grains in our cooking and gardening class. That’s where I discovered the connection between food, health, and the simple joy of creating something delicious. Over the years, I’ve continued to learn through experience. I’m mostly self-taught, but I’ve picked up countless tips and tricks from family and friends along the way. To me, healthy living is a lifestyle — and I recognize that there’s a wide spectrum when it comes to healthy eating. This cookbook is a reflection of that balance. It’s filled with recipes that focus on good flavor, mindful ingredients, and healthy habits — while still leaving room for those “just because” comfort meals. After all, life is about balance, and sometimes a little indulgence is part of a healthy routine.
